SLAY AGAINST HUNGER FASHION SHOW
Join us as we Slay against hunger and celebrate small business owner Velena Baranova as she opens her new restaurant dedicated to helping feed children. Velena has been feeding the children in the Las Vegas area for more than 20 yrs based on her story. Join us as we support and celebrate this amazing and powerful woman, December 20th we will be having a SIDEWALK Fashion show as apart of the grand opening foe Astra Cafe. In the neon-lit pulse of Las Vegas, where dreams rise and fall with the flip of a card, one woman chose a different kind of gamble—one rooted in love, resilience, and an unbreakable promise to children. Meet Velena Baranova, a mother, entrepreneur, and visionary whose journey from a single home daycare to a thriving network of early education centers and a beloved local café is nothing short of extraordinary.
Super Genius Kid Center was founded in 2016 by Velena Baranova, whose inspiration came from her son’s remarkable recovery after a life-threatening heart condition. That moment became the foundation of Super Genius Kid Center.
Watching his early passion for music and art, Velena envisioned a place where every child could grow through creativity, care, and love.
What began as a small home daycare for five children has grown into two thriving licensed centers in Las Vegas, with a third opening soon in Henderson. Each center provides high-quality education and a creative curriculum focused on music, arts, and multilingual learning. It developed a unique curriculum where every child is a Genius!
The program was nominated by the US Department of education for the "Global Education Award of 2020", which already indicates the effectiveness of its methodology.
Families experience a warm, caring environment with qualified teachers, flexible schedules, and nutritious, kid-friendly meals freshly prepared by our chef.
Velena and her family also own Astra Cafe — a cozy, family-run restaurant with licensed food providers for child care centers across Las Vegas. Astra Cafe prepares fresh, nutritious meals that meet the highest quality standards, supporting both local families and daycare programs.
Behind every achievement stands a dedicated family and a circle of friends who continue to support and grow the mission. Together, Velena and her team are creating more than just kid’s centers and cafe—they are shaping a legacy of hope, showing that every child can thrive.
